A beautiful laser cut wooden Christmas scene featuring a carousel with horses and sideshows in a village setting. This unusual Christmas decoration can be displayed in a window, on your mantelpiece or anywhere in your home. It is laser cut on a machine then the pieces are hand finished and assembled to order. It is available with optional battery LED lights so it can be illuminated at night. (The batteries can be replaced - 2 x CR2032)

Carousels began back in the 1100u2019s as a training u2018gameu2019 for Arabian and Turkish horsemen being hand propelled by servants. The Crusaders brought the u2018gameu2019 back to Europe and in the 18th century fancy versions of this began to appear in the private gardens of royalty. The carousel as we know it became possible when steam was used to power the carousels. Legend says there is a lead horse on every carousel - you should look for the biggest and most beautifully decorated horse.
